PURPOSE: To provide an automatic ticket examination device capable of surely preventing a parallel passing by which two persons parallelly pass through a path for an attended gate side by side, easily and safely widening the path to a path width for the attended gate appropriate for the user and passing him/her through when a wheelchair user or the like is to pass through the path for the attended gate and reducing the burdens on station employee. CONSTITUTION: Path width data recorded in a magnetic passenger ticket fed to the main body 1A of this automatic ticket examination device by a customer beforehand are read by a read head and displayed at the path width display part 204 of a control panel 120 under the control of a CPU. Then, when a movement button 122 is pushed, a driving motor 114 is driven, the main body 1A of the automatic ticket examination device starts moving and the main body 1A of the automatic ticket examination device reaches a movement set position corresponding to the set path width displayed at the path width display part 204. |
