<p>PURPOSE: To increase the accuracy of an insert recording by performing the tracking control of a recording head based on the information of a scanning position for a magnetic tape. CONSTITUTION: At the time of an insert mode, a tracking information signal S61 for alternately arranging signals S16 and S18 obtained by scanning an audio and a video signal recording regions by means of regenerating heads 53, 54 with a prescribed timing by a switch 70 is formed. The tracking errors of recording heads 51, 52 are detected by means of a dynamic tracking error detecting circuit 71 from this information. Driving operation of head moving parts 60, 61 are controlled and the tracking control of the recording heads 51, 52 is performed based on the error information S61. Consequently, respective recording heads exactly scan the objective recording tracks on the magnetic tape.</p> |
