The magazine (10) holds the weapons on a series of trays (11-14) stacked over each other. Each tray has a pair of spiral rod supports (21,22) with each weapon laid in a trough formed by the rods. The rods are rotated in opposing directions thereby moving the line of weapons to one end of the rack where they are extracted by the automatic loader. In the storage position the weapons are secured in the rack by hinged retaining doors (18). The doors are operated by the same drive as moves the rods, with the drive taken from a gear box (15) on one side of the rack.
