A sensing part 14 determines the varying velocityΔi of the actual gearing ratio to be determined from the input engine speed Ni and car speed VSP, and a correction part 15 corrects STEPFF and gives a command to the motor 6 so that the variation of the gearing ratio is suppressed with rise ofΔi. with this correction, stabilization of the control is achieved, and there is no more necessity for a cam 7 to feed back the offset to a valve 5.
