The device incorporates a plate (7), which is articulately fitted to the one end of a support leg. The support leg other end is articulately connected with the frame of the pallet truck (1) or a holder fixed to it. When the support leg is pivoted downwards from a normally upwardly pivoted position, the plate supports against the ground directly adjacent to the wheels (5,6) to be locked.
