PURPOSE: To improve the search accuracy of the optical transmitter/receiver and to improve the reception accuracy of signals. CONSTITUTION: The optical transmitter/receiver equipped with a light transmission part for transmitting optical signals at a narrow directional angle and a light reception part for receiving the optical signals at a narrow directional angle 16B1 and a wide directional angle 16B2 is provided, and the optical signal transmitted from the other optical transmitter/receiver is received by the light reception part at the narrow directional angle. Then, the signal level of this received light is detected, the optical transmitter/receiver is driven in the direction where a maximum signal is provided, and an information signal transmitted from the other optical transmitter/receiver is received by the light reception part at least at the wide directional angle of this optical transmitter/receiver. |
