PURPOSE: To register by easily and accurately segmenting the identification display of electronic components. CONSTITUTION: The image of an area including the identification display of an electronic component surface is fetched by an image pickup camera. etc. Binarization processing is automatically applied to a fetched gray level image, and it is separated to the identification display and a background. The image to which the binarization processing is applied is displayed on a display, etc., and the image is corrected by editing manually by using a cursor, etc. Thence, a level proper to the individual identification display in a binarized image is automatically attached. The centroid of each identification display and the feature of the minimum circumscribing rectangle are automatically sampled based on the information of the position and size of respective identification display, and each identification display can automatically be segmented and registered sequentially. |
