PURPOSE: To provide a hydrogen storage alloy-based electrode by which the rise of the inner pressure of a battery at the time of over charging is suppressed, charging at high temperature is feasible, and the discharging capacity of the battery is increased and stabilized. CONSTITUTION: A hydrogen storage alloy-based electrode is composed by carrying an electrode active material mix consisting of mainly hydrogen storage alloy powder on an electric collector and the hydrogen storage alloy-based electrode is assembled as negative electrode of a nickel-hydrogen secondary battery. At least one oxide selected from a group consisting of zinc oxide, magnesium oxide, and iron oxide is contained in the electrode active material mix. |
