PURPOSE: To maintain the quality of line width by correcting a dot so that the line width of a straight line displayed on a graphic display device is included within a specific allowable range. CONSTITUTION: The line width w2 (|d0-d1"|,|d2"-d3|) is found from the dot D2 (d0, d1', d2' and d3) on the graphic display device on which coordinates (q0" q1", q2" and q3") are put, and which of the difference out of differenceΔ2 and differenceΔ1 calculated from comparison of the line width w' with the line width w2 in physical unit is smaller, is judged, and when it is judged that the latter is smaller, the inside of a polygon consisting of the dot D1 (d0, d1, d2 and d3) is scanned for every line, and it is rasterized, or, the polygon is painted out. Also, when it is judged that the differenceΔ2 is smaller, the inside of the polygon consisting of the dot D2 (d0, d1', d2' and d3) is scanned for every line, then, it is rasterized, or the polygon is painted out. |
