PURPOSE: To enhance the stability and the security, or to relieve the load onto a font server and a network by providing a processing means copying or moving font data stored in a font server to other font server. CONSTITUTION: A storage state check section 12A inquires about a font name stored in each font server FS. A font name notice section 26 of each font server FS reports a font data name stored in itself to the storage state check section 12A in response to the inquiry. The storage state check section 12A clarifies the storage state of font data based on the notice from each font server FS to update a content of font storage information HD. Then one set of font data stored in the entire system only are selected for an object of copy processing and the data are copied to the font server FS whose storage number of the font data is least. A revision content decision section 13A accesses number of stored data as to a font A in the entire system and checks the data.
