PURPOSE: To separately use SS communication and non-SS communication corresponding to the environment of use by providing plural frequency synthesizer circuits and selecting either a frequency hopping(FH) communication mode or a non-FH communication mode. CONSTITUTION: When a communication mode is set to the FH communication mode by a communication mode changeover switch 24, an attenuator 22 is turned off and a power amplifier 16 is set to a high power mode. Continuously, the supply of synthesizer data to respective synthesizer circuits 19 and 20 is started and transmission/reception due to the FH communication mode is executed. Besides, when the mode is changed into the non-FH communication mode, the attenuator 22 is turned on, the level of an IF transmitting modulated signal is attenuated, and the power amplifier 16 is set to a low power mode. Continuously, any one synthesizer circuit is selected and transmission/reception due to the non-FH communication mode is executed. |
