The filtrate valve (7,8) is for a rotating a filter which comprises a trough (3) for liquid to be filtered, a rotatable shaft (1) carrying filter sections (21) including an angularly spaced filtrate discharge (4) adapted to direct filtrate to respective ones of filtrate channels (5) circumferentially spaced about the shaft (1) and extending in the longitudinal direction of it to end in an outlet end of the shaft (1). The filtrate valve (7,8) is mounted in the outlet end and includes first and second shutters (9,10) defining the beginning and the end, respectively, of a vacuum zone. The valve is adapted, upon shaft (1) rotation, to put consecutive filtrate channels (5) in communication with filtrate outlets (22,24) separated by the shutters (10,11). The second shutter (10) includes a horizontal edge portion (11) located below a normal filtrate level in an axial channel. |
