The method producing casting moulds made of heat-hardenable materials consists of the following steps: (a) prodn. of a computer models of the prospective mould (6); and (b) successive hardening of individual layers (6a,6b,6c,6d), which are located on top of one anther, of a heat-hardenable material (3) at appropriate places by means of electromagnetic radiation controlled in accordance with the computer model. Moulding sand of quartz sand with phenol resin coating is used in the role of the material (3). The mould is produced with an integral core (20). The mould is produced as a single item provided with a sprue. Hardening is carried out by means of an infrared laser unit (7). Hardening takes place as a result of laser-initiated chemical process in the resin coating of the moulding sand. |
