FIELD: air heating appliances; heating of premises including saunas, drying of berries, grass, and fruit. SUBSTANCE: electric convector has heating sections and shielding case. heating sections are mounted in a spaced relation to each other and made of frame in the form of flexible plate with soft and bulky insulating member on its top covered with heating band wound with clearances between turns wherein projections of insulating material are formed. Insulating material projections are formed due to negative allowance in winding heating band onto body. Basalt wool is used as insulating member. Flexible plate of heating section compensates for thermal expansion of heating band due to straightening as the latter is released. Insulating member projections limit transverse displacement of heating band on plate and eliminate closure of its ends to each other. Heating sections do not form closed loop and so clearance between them can be adjusted; power can be regulated by reducing or increasing quantity of plates. EFFECT: simplified design, improved operating efficiency and reliability, enlarged functional capabilities. |
