<p>A collapsible pallet (10) comprises a base of elongate members (11 and 12). Pivotally attached to the base at each corner is an upright (13). Extending between elongate members (11) and uprights (13) are respective braces (14). Braces (14) are pivotally attached to both the respective uprights (13) and elongate member (11). Brace (14) further comprises a pivotal interconnection (15) intermediate its ends. Elongate members (11) are of U-shaped transverse cross-section. Uprights (13) are of square transverse cross-section. In the folded configuration of the pallet, upright (13) will reside within the U-channel of elongate member (11). Accordingly, the pallet, in a folded configuration is very slim enabling a high stacking density. The pallet also comprises a number of foldable support members (27) to support engine blocks or other bulky items which also lie below the top of the elongate members (11) when folded (fig. 2, not shown). <IMAGE></p> |
