PURPOSE: To provide an image forming device capable of preventing image from being defective and developer from being mixed in color as well by executing control not so as to form image, when cleaning member is not abutted on image carrier. CONSTITUTION: The image forming device is provided with a surface detecting sensor 40 detecting whether the cleaning blade 33 is abutted or not on a photoreceptor drum 1 at a part on the downstream side in the rotational direction of the photoreceptor drum 1 from the cleaning blade 33, a control means controlling whether a copying operation is to be executed or not, based on the output of the surface detecting sensor 40 and further, a display device for displaying the fact when it is judged that a copying machine is not operated, based on processing in the control means. |
