PURPOSE: To downsize a circuit at large by reducing the parts for regeneration of energy, in a snubber energy regenerating circuit which lets the charge of the snubber capacitor Cl in the power converting circuit using a GTO element G1 for the main circuit flow to the primary winding of a transformer CT3 for regeneration, and rectifies the output of the secondary winding and regenerate it on the side of DC power sources P and N. CONSTITUTION: A current transformer CT3 for regeneration is constituted, with its primary winding and secondary winding separated a specified interval so that the leakage inductance may increase. The energy of the snubber capacitor Cl is accumulated on the inductance of the current transformer CT3 for regeneration, and this inductance energy is regenerated on the side of a DC power source. Therefore, this obviates the necessity to provide a DC reactor on the secondary side of a current transformer CT3 for regeneration, and a snubber circuit is downsized. |
