PURPOSE: To facilitate the resuming of an image forming operation by detecting the movement of an original and clearing the stored original size, when the image forming operation is interrupted. CONSTITUTION: This controller for an image forming device is provided with a means detecting the original size, a second memory 32 storing the original size detected by this detecting means, means 20 and 23 selecting image forming conditions based on the size of the second memory 32, a means for displaying based on the size of the second memory 32, when an automatic mode is designated by the means 20 and 23, a means 28 detecting abnormality during operation, a means interrupting the image forming operation in response to the detection of the abnormality of the means 28, a means 26 resuming the image forming operation interrupted by the interrupting means, a means for detecting the movement of the original placed on a platen glass until the image forming operation is resumed after the interruption and a means clearing the original size of the second memory 32, when this detecting means detects the movement of the original. |
