PURPOSE: To surely standardize an abnormal position by enhancing the resolution for reducing the minimum time unit to measure the time difference when the minimum time unit is too large to judge the time difference of a plurality of different AE(acoustic emission) signals. CONSTITUTION: AE sensors 1A, 1B for generating AE signals, a preamplifier 2 for amplifying the AE signals, a BPF 3 for passing the component of a prescribed band of the signals, a main amplifier 4 for amplifying the signals, an envelop wave detecting circuit 5 for envelop wave-detecting the signals, and a computer 6 for standardizing an abnormal position of a subject on the basis of the AE signals from the circuit 5. The computer 6 measures the time difference between the time of the receipt of the AE signal from the sensor 1A and the time of the receipt of the AE signal from the sensor 1B, and standardizes the abnormal position of the subject on the basis of this time difference. In this way, the time difference between two AE signals can be measured, and the abnormal position of the subject can be surely standardized. |
