摘要 PURPOSE: To enable judgment even with the generation of such deceleration as to cause the speed change value to reach the threshold value in a short time due to impact such as a hammer blow acting upon the vicinity of an ECU without making the start judgment of an inflator for the specified time after the first change value becomes positive. CONSTITUTION: When the first speed change value V1 does not reach the threshold value TH4 even after operation carried out for the fixed time or longer in order to avoid actuation caused by the offset voltage of an acceleration sensor, it is so judged that deceleration is not caused by a collision, and judgment operation is reset (steps 130-136). With this action, when the time after the first speed change value V1 becoming positive, that is, the operation elapsed time (t), does not reach at least 6ms, an actuation judgment is not made. Accordingly, even when the speed change value V2 reaches the threshold YH2 due to large deceleration generated in a short time by impact such as a hammer blow applied close to an ECU, an air bag device is not actuated, so that the quality can be improved (steps 146-160).
