FIELD: chemical engineering. SUBSTANCE: fettling of drum mills for self-grinding has core-type grain guards 3 and mills disposed in rows along axis of drum 1 and directed towards center of its cross-section. In neighboring rows core-type grain guards have different height. Maximal height of grain guards 3 and distance between them in row make up 0.7-0.9 of size of maximal piece 4 of raw material. Minimal height of grain guards 3 and distance between them in row made up 0.2-0.7 of maximal height. Distance between rows of grain guards 3 having maximal height makes up not less than 2.5 of sizes of maximal piece 4 of raw material. EFFECT: enhanced quality. 1 dwg
