PURPOSE: To perform ideal quick charging by detecting battery voltages or temperature plural times at plural pause times and calculating them, detecting the battery voltage or temperature in one measurement time, and controlling the charging status of a secondary battery at the detected battery voltage or temperature. CONSTITUTION: In a quick charging for charging a secondary battery, the quick charging is stopped while charging the secondary battery, and when voltage of the secondary battery detected during the measurement time becomes a set value, the quick charging is stopped. In the measurement time, the secondary battery is pulse-charged by repeating an interval charging time and a pause time. While the interval charging time and pause time are repeated, the battery voltage is detected plural times at the plural pause times, the detected battery voltage is calculated, and the battery voltage in one measurement time is measured. The charging state of the secondary battery is controlled by means of the measured battery voltage. |
