<p>PURPOSE: To reduce the positioning operation of an optical system and to easily exchange a laser unit by providing an optical unit for integrally mounting a laser beam source, a light convergence means and a photodetector. CONSTITUTION: The laser unit and a detection sensor, etc., are mounted on a printed board and a condenser lens and a reflecting mirror are mounted to a lens unit. For the laser unit, the laser beam source composed of a semiconductor laser for emitting laser beams or the like, a shaping lens for shaping the laser beams and put them in focus at a prescribed position, a heat sink for diverging heat generated in the laser beam source and a temperature sensor for detecting the temperature of the laser beam source are unitized. In such a manner, by unitizing a member required for emitting the laser beams and the member required for converging and detecting reflected light from a bar code, the need of adjusting a gap between the laser beam source and the shaping lens at the time of a laser exchange operation is eliminated.</p> |
