PURPOSE: To make possible processing in real time by rotating an image at any arbitrary angle by providing a magnification converting circuit, slanting converting circuit, image rotating circuit and image bus. CONSTITUTION: The image is electricically magnified in the main scanning direction by a magnification converting circuit 114 and γ is corrected by a γconverting part 115. In an image rotation mode, an image bus 117 is switched so that image data can flow to an EDU(an editing unit) 120, and slanting conversion is performed by the EDU 120. The processed data are inputted to an FMU(a frame memory unit) 130 and data for one scan are stored and rotated at 90 deg.. Next, the image data are returned to the magnification converting circuit 114 and electrically magnified and the γ is corrected by the γ correcting part 115. In the image rotation mode, the bus 117 is switched so that the image data can flow to the EDU 120, and slanting conversion is performed by the EDU 120. Thus, the processed data are processed by a picture quality correcting circuit 116 and outputted to a printer. |
