PURPOSE: To provide a clear indication of rotation while enhancing the operability of an inverter by inputting a signal from an arithmetic unit and indicating the rotational direction of an AC motor according to the lighting/ unlighting order of function indicating lamps. CONSTITUTION: When an operation command key 13D on a console 10 is operated, an AC motor 3 is rotated according to set operational conditions and function indicating lamps 12 are lighted/unlighted sequentially at a constant rate by a signal generated at a lighting/unlighting pattern generating section 9 such that a preset rotating direction of an AC motor matches thus indicating the rotational direction. In the case of forward rotation of the AC motor, the function indicating lamps are lighted/unlighted sequentially according to a counter clockwise lighting/unlighting pattern of 12G-12J-12K-12L-12I-12H-12G thus indicating the rotational direction of the AC motor. When the rotational speed of the AC motor 3 increases, the lighting/unlighting rate also increases correspondingly. |
