<p>The roof lining material, to allow vapour through but be impermeable to water through a sealing layer, has a woven carrier material with a high weaving density. Pref. the weaving density is 0.8 or more, woven from narrow strips. The woven fabric is of thermoplastic polymers, which can be oriented, and pref. of high density polyethylene or linear low density polyethylene, polypropylene or polyester. The narrow strips have a thickness of 10-100 um and pref. 20-40 um, and a width of 0.1-6.0 mm, and pref. 1-4 mm. The fabric is coated with a polymer, to allow vapour permeability, using thermoplastic polyester elastomers or polyurethane, applied directly to the woven fabric surface. The lining material has a longitudinal and lateral shear strength of more than 300 N/50 mm and pref. 500-700 N/50 mm. It has a stretch to shearing of at least 10% and pref. 20% or more. The material has a wt. of 80-200 g/m<2> and pref. 110-150 g/m<2>. It has a needle tear strength of 300-600 N and pref. 400-600 N. The steam permeability is more than 130 g/m<2>/24 hrs. and pref. 160 g/m<2>/24 hrs. or more. It has a diffusion equiv. air layer thickness of less than 0.30</p> |
