PURPOSE: To obtain an ion complex polymeric membrane useful for separation of water and an org. solvent having superior separating capability and stability by using a cationic polymer having a specified repeated structure in the membrane. CONSTITUTION: The ion complex polymeric separation membrane formed by combining a cationic polymer and an anionic polymer consists of the cationic polymer having the repeated structure of the formula I. In the formula, R1 and R2 are each independently 1-10C straight or branched alkylene group, and the combining positions of R1 and R2 are each independently ortho, meta or para positions. Further, X is Br, Cl, F or substances expressed by the formulae II and III. Such ion complex polymeric membrane is prepared by a step to make the membrane from a cationic polymer or an anionic polymer, and a step of dipping the obtained polymeric membrane in a soln. of a cationic polymer or an anionic polymer having electric charges opposite to that of the used polymer. |
