<p>PURPOSE: To obtain a hepatic parenchymal cell having a cloning proliferation potency, which has a peroxisome and properties of the positivity, etc., to a hepatocytic marker, a cancerated or an undifferentiated hepatocytic marker, and an antibody against a surface antigen of an oval cell and is useful for developing therapeutic techniques, research, etc., of hepatopathy. CONSTITUTION: This hepatic parenchymal cell is obtained by separating and collecting a hepatocyte from the liver of a mature mammal, centrifuging the hepatocyte at a low speed, separating the hepatocyte into a heavy and a light fractions, culturing a small-sized hepatocyte in the resultant light fraction in a culture medium containing bovine fetal blood serum and ascorbic acids as essential ingredients, forming a colony in the hepatic parenchymal cell belonging to the small-sized cell and screening the formed colony using the presence or absence of a peroxisome, reactivity, etc., with a hepatocytic marker, a cancerated or an undifferentiated hepatocytic marker and an antibody against a surface antigen of an oval cell as indexes. The resultant hepatic parenchymal cell has at least one characteristic of having the peroxisome and the positivity to the hepatocytic marker, the cancerated or undifferentiated hepatocytic marker and the antibody against the surface antigen of the oval cell.</p> |
