PURPOSE: To provide a motion detection circuit capable of making accurate motion detection while minimizing cost increase. CONSTITUTION: A difference between an input signal S0 and a signal S4 obtained by delaying the signal S0 by two frames is obtained and a 2-frame detection signal Δ04 is obtained. A difference between the input signal S0 and the signal S4 obtained by delaying the signal S0 by one frames is obtained and a 1-frame detection signal Δ02 is obtained. A 1-frame detection signal Δ24 is obtained by delaying the 1-frame detection signal Δ02. When a level of the 1-frame detection signal Δ02 is less than a threshold level Th02 and when a level of the 1-frame detection signal Δ24 is more than a threshold level Th24, a selector 20 interrupts the 2-frame detection signal Δ04. Thus, an undesired part of the 2-frame detection signal Δ04 is eliminated and an accurate motion detection signal (k) is obtained. |
