The trailer has a main frame and a sub-frame each having front and rear ends and being generally U-shaped and open at their rear ends. The main frame has a pair of spaced stringers inter-connected by a web at its front end and the sub-frame has a pair of spaced lateral members interconnected by a forward member at its front end. Each lateral member is pivotally connected to a separate stringer. The sub-frame has a tongue which may be connected and disconnected to the hitch on a vehicle. A wheel is rotatably mounted to each stringer for supporting the main frame above the ground. A supporting bed is pivotally connected at its rear end to the rear ends of the stringers. A winch is provided for causing the forward end of the supporting bed to move selectively toward and away from the web with resulting raising and lowering respectively of the supporting bed from and to the ground.
