On the roller support of the tensioner swivel shaft is rotatably fitted a roller, while a tubular lining is located between the roller support and the swivel shaft. The lining carries a groove on its inner and outer surface. Pref. the swivel shaft is fitted in a bore in the roller support, with the lining pressed into the bore between its inner wall and the outer surface of the swivel roller. The groove in the inner lining surface is typically straight in the direction of the lining axis. Alternatively the groove may be helical.
