The invention concerns a method of determining substance-specific parameters of one or a plurality of molecules by correlation-spectroscopy, the molecule(s) in a sample containing a relatively high concentration of the molecule(s) to be determined being excited by electromagnetic radiation (exciting radiation) in order to emit electromagnetic radiation (emission radiation). The exciting and/or emission radiation passes through a device which is permeable to the corresponding wavelength of this electromagnetic radiation, said device being disposed between an exciting or emission radiation source and an exciting or emission radiation detector. In order to permit the passage of electromagnetic waves, this device comprises at least one area whose greatest extension in at least one spatial direction is shorter than the wavelength of the exciting and/or emission radiation of the molecule(s).
