The door (1) pivots in a frame (19) and its fitted hinges (2) turn round fixed bolts (3) as enclosed by a frame-fitted (19) cam (4). A plunger (6) moves normal to the bolt axis within the hinge and so engages the cam face (5) at its free end. The plunger thrusts off a spring (8) against the cam and the hinge and plunger assembly is offset to one side of the vertical plane of the door so the cam lies alongside the frame (19). The cam is fixed beside the frame by a U-rail screwed to the cam by its two U-legs assisted by a reinforcing rib (25) fitted to the rail crosspiece and itself screwed both to the frame and one rail leg. Where it faces away from the hinge, the cam has a strip-type reinforcing nose (26) to run parallel to the run of the rail and screwed home where it overlaps the rail leg (22). A range of dissimilarly faced cams can be used.
