PURPOSE: To improve the sealing workability for a seal part and improve the sealing performance by molding a rubber material mixed with a foaming agent, to a desired shape, through the vulcanization at the temperature lower than the foaming temperature of the foaming agent. CONSTITUTION: An elastic seal member is formed by vulcanizing a rubber material mixed with a foaming agent at the temperature lower than the foaming temperature of the foaming agent and molding the rubber material to a desired shape. As for the foaming agent, the foaming temperature higher than the vulcanization temperature is used, and the foaming factor is preferably set so that the elastic seal member is expanded by 10-50% in the conversion calculation to the linear expansion rate. Further, the foaming agent is mixed into the not-yet-hardened rubber material which is hardened at the ordinary temperature, and as the foaming agent, may be used the agent which possesses the foaming temperature higher than the working environmental temperature. After such the elastic seal member is arranged in the seal part, the elastic seal member is expanded by heating the elastic seal member at the temperature higher than the foaming temperature of the foaming agent, and press-attached onto the peripheral wall of the seal part, which is sealed surely. |
