IC engine with liq. ring, valves and buffer stores

The compression of gaseous, combustible mixts. and its work yielding expansion takes place between discs. The outer edges of the discs remain in the liq. ring, blades, and sealing faces formed by penetration of the compression and expansion shafts into the liq. ring. The compressed gases are fed to shaft inlet apertures (21), with a pipeline (48) linked to each one. Each pipeline leads to a gas outlet aperture (26) via a heat insulated buffer store (25), in the shaft interior where the combustion takes place. The hot combustion gases reach the expansion blade. The engine comprises valves (24,49) for gas flow control in front of inlet and behind the outlet apertures.
