摘要 <p>PURPOSE: To eliminate tracking deviation in acceleration and deceleration and enable highly acculate thickness control by exact tracking by operating the outside diameter of a reel from the setting of thickness and number of turns of a coil and compensating a space error at that time by determining the operation result of space factor when the speed of a preceding pass is stabilized. CONSTITUTION: A pulse generator 29 for operating the travel length of sheet is attached to an uncoiling reel 21, the timing of thickness sampling in automatic gage control is controlled based on this pulse generating signal and the deviation data of sampled thickness is tracked. Consequently, adverse effect on screw down due to the slip of sheet at the time of acceleration and deceleration which is generated when an oscillator 28 which is attached to a deflector roll is used is eliminated and highly acculate automatic gage control is enabled. Since the pulse generator 29 for the uncoiling reel 21 is always provided, it is unnecessay to add the pulse generator newly.</p>
