PURPOSE: To exhaust an inside air flow to the back of a ceiling and prevent overcooling of a fluorescent lamp and insufficient cooling of a ballast by forming a vent hole in a reflector which holds a lamp socket near the lamp socket and forming the second vent in a chassis near the ballast. CONSTITUTION: An air flow caused by operating airconditioning equipment is carried into the back of a ceiling through the first vent hole 10 and the second vent hole 11. As the first vent hole 10 is arranged near a lamp socket 8, the end of a fluorescent lamp 7 where relatively high quantity of heat is generated is effectively cooled to prevent overcooling at the center of the fluorescent lamp 7. As the second vent hole 11 is arranged near a ballast 9, great part of an air flow passing through the first vent hole 10 passes around the ballast 9. In this way, the ballast 9 is effectively cooled. |
