LIGHTING SYSTEM

PURPOSE: To provide a lighting system which does not operate through the confusion of the ambient temperature of its illumination load with the temperature of a human body. CONSTITUTION: This lighting system comprises a human body detecting portion 1 for detecting the presence of a human around an illumination load 4; a control portion 3 which outputs a dimming signal to the illumination load 4; a temperature detecting portion 5 which detects the ambient temperature (room temperature) of the illumination load 4; and a timer setting portion 6 by which the time during which the illumination load 4 is kept in a lighted state is set according to signals from the human body detecting portion 1 and the temperature detecting portion 5 and by which signals are transmitted to the control portion 3. As a result, the lighting system which does not operate by confusing the ambient temperature of the illumination load with the temperature of a human body can be obtained.
