PURPOSE: To prevent the deformation of a terminal piece, easily accommodate height change from a printed circuit board to a mating connector at low cost by installing a electrically insulating locator having a large number of terminal piece insertion holes. CONSTITUTION: A locator 13 made of electrically insulating synthetic resin is placed between a connector main body 1 and a printed circuit board 9, and has a base part 14 and bolt insertion holes 15, 15. A large number of terminal piece insertion holes 17 for inserting each tip of terminal pieces 8 on the main body 1 side are passed through from the upper surface of the base part 14 to the lower surface 13b. While an end 8b of each piece 8 is inserted into each hole 17 in a locator 13 positioned in a specified portion of the board 9, the main body 1 is inserted in the locator 13. Since the end 8b is guided by the hole 17, the deformation of the piece 8 during insertion can be prevented. Even if the height between the board 9 and the mating connector is different, height change is easily accommodated by replacing only the locator 13 and cost is reduced. |
