PURPOSE: To achieve the long life of a halogen bulb by reflecting infrared emitted from a filament in the direction of the filament by an infrared reflecting coat-ing and a shading body and roughing the surface of the infrared reflecting surface side of the shading body to uniformize a quantity of reflected infrared, thereby preventing the disconnection of the filament. CONSTITUTION: A translucent airtight container 2 is provided extending in the direction of an axis 1a in which a swollen part 3 made into a spherical form having a center nearly on the axis or an elliptical form having a focal point nearly on the axis 1a on the tip side and an arbitrary form part 4 on the base side are integratedly formed. An infrared reflecting coating 5 is formed in the surface of the container 2. A first filament 6 is provided so as to be positioned nearly between the centers or between the focal points in the swollen part 3 of the container 2 and a second filament 7 is provided nearly along the axis 1a of the arbitrary form part of the container 2. A shading body 11, at least the opposed surface of which is made into a rough surface, is provided in opposite to the first filament 6. A base 20 is provided on the base side of the container 2.
