PURPOSE: To speedily and inexpensively calculate the amount of characteristics of a work image within a plurality of windows. CONSTITUTION: A work image picked up by a television camera 1 is converted to multi-bit binary image data by a binarization circuit 2, a first amount of characteristics is calculated by a circuit 11 for calculating the amount of first characteristics for each level value using the processing image data in window where the logic OR between the binary image data and the window data in multi bits from a window memory 9 is obtained by an AND gate 5, and the calculated amount of first characteristics is operated and integrated by a second integration circuit 12 for calculating the amount of second characteristics for each window for calculating as the amount of second characteristics. Then, the amount of second characteristics is compared with a reference value by a judgment circuit 8 for judging conformity. |
