MANUFACTURE OF MECHANICAL ELEMENT CONSTITUTED BY PRESS FITTING SHAFT IN ENGAGEMENT MEMBER

PURPOSE: To provide a manufacturing method of a mechanical element constituted by press fitting a shaft in an engagement member free to mold a shaft upheaved part to press fit and engage with the engagement member without causing a burr. CONSTITUTION: An upheaved part 3 is molded by heightening lubricity and workability of a shaft surface by way of applying phosphate coating on an outer peripheral surface of a shaft 2 and knurling a part to engage with an engagement member of the shaft outer peripheral surface, and the upheaved part 3 is press fit in a shaft hole of the engagement member.
