PURPOSE: To provide an X-ray generator which can freely select and use different kinds of X-ray sources. CONSTITUTION: This X-ray generator has a plurality of bulb main body portions 1a, 1b having filaments F1 to F4 and targets 6a, 6b; and a plurality of power units 3a, 3b which supply heating currents to the filaments F1 to F4 and apply tube voltages between the filaments F1 to F4 and the targets 6a, 6b. The X- generator further has a plurality of X-ray generation controllers 4a, 4b provided to correspond to the individual power units 3a, 3b and controlling the action of the power units 3a, 3b; and a high-voltage switching tank 2 provided between the bulb main body portions 1a, 1b and the power units 3a, 3b and switching electrical connections between the power units 3a, 3b and the bulb main body portions 1a, 1b. |
