RADIATOR,ITS PREPARATION AND MANUFACTURING DEVICE

PURPOSE: To manufacture a radiator economically and easily, by manufacturing a bar radiator workpiece of charging pressure at ordinary temperature within a specific value, heating its tube locally with preset operational charging pressure being held, and deforming the tube into a desirable shape. CONSTITUTION: A bar tungsten halogen lamp is prepared as a radiator 1 by charging a quartz glass tube 4 with a filler composed of argon and halide within a charging pressure at ordinary temperature of 1.5 bar. The tube 4 holds therein an illuminant 3 loosely fixed to retainer rings 19. The tube 4 is then heated at its ends 2 or therearound with an annular gas burner 5 and bent at the ends 2 about 30 degrees. The tube 4 is mounted with holding tools 7 and 8, one tool 7 of which is fixed to a table 18 and the other 8 to a rotary arm 15, in which state a disk 9 is turned to curve the radiator into a circular shape. During such heating and deformation, a burner 10 and liquefied nitrogen 20 are utilized to hold the operational charging pressure within about one bar.
