PURPOSE: To allow the waveform data compressor to use proper data for an initial prediction arithmetic processing of each block arithmetic processing in the APC system waveform data compressor that obtains an optimum prediction coefficient from the prescribed number of waveform data to be blocked in the 1st mode and that generates prediction data based on the optimum prediction coefficient through block arithmetic processing in the 2nd mode. CONSTITUTION: An arithmetic section OPR is provided with data latch sections KP1, KP2 latching data corresponding to at least final 1st waveform data id used for final prediction arithmetic processing of block arithmetic processing in the 2nd mode, 1st selection sections SW2, SW3 using data latched by the data latch sections KP1, KP2 in place of data stored in 2nd delay sections LT1, LT2 for each initial prediction arithmetic processing of each block arithmetic processing of a succeeding block. |
