<p>PURPOSE: To calculate the presence or absence of the mounting of a battery and the kind of the battery with a simple constitution by detecting the mounting state of a secondary battery or a primary battery on a battery mounting part and the residual capacity of the battery. CONSTITUTION: Within a battery mounting part 2, the terminals 3 and 4 in contact with the terminal of a battery and a switch 6 for battery kind detection are provided. The power supply voltage to be supplied from the terminal 3 to a power source line 7 is converted in an analog/digital converter 9 and the residual capacity judgment of the mounted secondary battery is performed by a central control device 40. When the switch 6 is turned on, it is judged that the secondary battery has been mounted by the central control device 40 and the battery is used as the power source for device operation. At this time, if the residual capacity of the secondary battery is a prescribed capacity or below, charging is performed from a charging terminal 7 to the secondary battery. When it is judged that the switch 6 is turned off and the residual capacity of the connected battery is a prescribed capacity or more, it is judged that a primary battery has been mounted. When it is judged that the residual capacity of a prescribed capacity or more does not exist, it is judged that both of the primary battery and the secondary battery have not been mounted.</p> |
