Valve arrangement on cylinder head of IC engine

Each cylinder head has at least one intake and one outlet aperture, all of which are covered by a single common valve. Each aperture is additionally covered by a valve-like disc. The cylinder head has a dividing web between intakes and outlets. The shaft of the common valve slides in the web. The intake discs are opened by the flow pressure of the supplied combustion (working) medium. During the closing process, the valve also moves the discs. Discs and associated apertures are semi-circular.
