Vehicle anti-theft security system

The owner wears a transponder (2) on his wrist which when brought into proximity of a pick up coil (3) near the vehicle door lock releases the central locking system without need of a door key. The same transponder is brought near to a second coil (10) which controls the release of the ignition block and allows the ignition to be turned on via a keyless switch (11). The transponder emits a coded string of signals, which can be a duplex communication between the transponder and the processor control unit (3) to which the coils are connected. The ignition is inhibited unless the central locking system is first released by the transponder. The transponder can be incorporated in a wrist watch, ring or other items of jewellery etc.
