A data processing system comprises code segments and a data processor for handling the code segments, the data processor comprising a processing means and a means for binding a chosen plurality of the code segments into an executable task to be performed by the processing means, the chosen code segments being bound into a complete executable task only at the time of loading or executing the task, wherein the data processor is one of a plurality of such data processors each having a respective such processing means and a respective such binding means, and wherein the code segments are shared by all the data processors. |
