PURPOSE: To correct the mis-registration of each image carrier with high accuracy by accurately calculating information of the mis-registration with respect to each image carrier, not affected by the degradation of the transfer characteristic of a resist correcting mark to a carrier, etc. CONSTITUTION: This image forming device is constituted so that when each of the resist correcting marks of several sets and rotations is formed on a transfer belt 1 by a pattern forming means at prescribed timing, by respective image stations ST1-ST4, a reading means 10 reads each of the resist marks of several sets and rotations transferred onto the transfer belt 1 and a controller part 51 arithmetically processes the read data, to store the result in a storage means in each color and analysing the stored arithmetic result, to mechanically or electrically correct the registration of the respective image stations. |
